SpecificationsThe recirculation pump shall be a self-priming, centrifugaldesign with a hair and lint strainer as shown in the plans.
The pump body, seal plate, and attached hair and lint strainershall be constructed of non-corrosive Noryl® materials, andclose-coupled to an electric motor by means of an adaptor of thesame material. The pump body shall have a single suction portwith a 6" ANSI 125 bolt flange to the hair and lint strainer.A centerline discharge port of 4" ANSI 125 bolt flange and awinterizing drain port of 1/4" NPT shall be a part of the design.
The pump shall be a back pull-out design to allow servicingwithout disturbing piping. The pump shall have a Noryl® diffuserto aid in priming and it shall contain a replaceable bronze wearring for the impeller. The impeller shall be of the closed type andNoryl®, non-overloading at any point on the performance curve.The mechanical shaft seal shall be constructed of ceramic andcarbon seal faces, with stainless steel, brass and Buna Nmaterials in the spring bellows portion. The impeller shall besecured to the motor shaft by means of a stainless steel keyand locking screw into the end of the motor shaft. The pumpshall be capable of operating at up to 50 psi, 104? F continuouswater temperature.
The electric motor coupled to the pump shall be of the NEMAseries JM construction with stainless steel shaft inside aremovable shaft sleeve of 300 series stainless steel. The motorshall be of an open, drip-proof design (unless otherwisespecified) with double shielded, single row, deep groove ballbearings. Motors shall be continuous duty rated at 40? C(or better) ambient and be suitable for outdoor installation.

The variable speed pump with integrated safety vacuum release system
IntelliFlo® VS+SVRS provides an important layer of entrapment protection. Its built-in safety vacuum release system (SVRS) automatically shuts the pump off when a vacuum is formed. 
SVRS technology is recognized by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission as an approved device for use to help prevent body suction entrapment and an important element in complying with the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act.
A breakthrough in energy-efficiency and service life, the IntelliFlo® pump allows programming for 4 different speeds for different pool, spa or water features applications. By dialing in the minimum speed required for a task, the pump works less and uses less energy. Pump speeds are easily adjusted with the push of an up or down arrow button.

IntelliFlo VS+SVRS features an exclusive blend of technology innovations that enable you to typically slash pump-related utility costs:
Exclusive, advanced motor technology. IntelliFlo pumps are the first to use exclusive permanent magnet motor technology (used in hybrid cars). This provides a typical base savings of 30% over pumps with traditional induction motors.
Onboard intelligence with variable drive. IntelliFlo pumps also include a variable speed capability, along with digital controls and proprietary software that allow custom  programming of optimum pump speeds for specific tasks filtering, heating, cleaning, spa jets, waterfalls, etc. There are eight individual, adjustable speed settings at your command. For virtually all applications, the optimum speed will be lower than the pre-set, unchangeable speeds of older pumps.
